Why Work So Hard?

Dear Ones –

Here is the thing we want to tell you, and Ker if she will listen: It doesn’t always have to be so hard. Humans have a knack for creating difficulty. We wonder if perhaps it isn’t difficult enough to be human without making it worse? What in the world do we mean?

When someone hurts your feelings, do you dwell on the hurt and the feelings that arise from it? Or do you shake it off and let your truth be your own guide, rather than reacting to another person’s distortions? Sometimes it is easier to shake it off, and sometimes it takes time to sort out and return to balance.

Can we just say this? When you can shake it off easily, please do. When it takes more time to sort out, don’t be lazy. Take care of yourself, but take any opportunity of the moment to move along and come back to a balanced place. Balance is an option. Make it so.

When you have a job to do, do you let it overwhelm you? Do you distract yourself with games and worries and social media baloney? Or do you break it down into manageable chunks, doing the hard bits when you have the energy and the easy bits when things feel more difficult? Do you ever just say to yourself hey, let’s get this done!? It is an option.

Furthermore, may we suggest, that when things get heavy and sloggish and hard, when you feel lost and alone or like giving up, that you take a few moments and close your eyes and breathe, and call for help. Just call out in your mind and your heart, ask for help.

It doesn’t have to be a god thing, or a spirit guide thing, or an angel, although it could be all of those. It could be asking to see what can be done, who to check in with, asking for your own courageous heart to come to your side. You could ask that things be made easier. Sometimes this looks like it came from outside, but sometimes it is just stepping back into the Flow of things, of Life.

You might be forgetting, from time to time, that although life is difficult in places, and sometimes quite a lot, that you don’t need to make it worse. You can ask yourself: Am I making this worse? Can I just let this one go? Do I really have to make this so hard? Can I relax and allow myself to just go where I need to go?

Remember there is all the love in the Universe at your disposal. Use a little of it on your own behalf from time to time, and maybe you’ll get some things taken care of that have been bothering you. And maybe some other things won’t always be so hard.

With love,
BlueStar and Counsel of Light
